Information Literacy in the Classroom

It can be difficult to plan effective information literacy lessons. With students at many levels of knowledge, how can you devise a lesson that works for everyone? You don't necessarily have to--if you assign View videos as homework, students can learn at their own pace, with the needier among them spending more time on the material, and information literacy savvy students, less.

If you still want to spend class time on information literacy, however, see this webinar with Ellen Carey, Librarian and Assistant Professor at Santa Barbara City College. In it she describes fun and engaging activities that can help students become more familiar with important information literacy concepts.
